What’s Included

Everything covered by our fascias & soffits work

Full roofline replacement

Fascias, soffits, bargeboards and guttering replaced as one job, so the whole roofline matches and every joint lines up rather than being patched piecemeal over several years.

Rafter ends checked and repaired

Capping over rotten rafter feet is the classic roofline shortcut; it looks perfect for about three years. We cut back to sound timber and repair before anything new is fixed to it.

uPVC or timber

uPVC for low maintenance and longevity, timber where the property or a conservation area calls for it. Both fitted properly; neither pushed as the automatic answer.

Ventilated soffits

Sealing a roofline up tight is how you get condensation and rot in a loft that was previously fine. Ventilation is designed in as standard, not left to chance.

Guttering set to fall correctly

New gutter run to a proper fall towards the downpipe. A surprising number of 'blocked' gutters are simply level ones, sitting full of water because nobody set the run.

How It Works

How we handle fascias & soffits

  1. 01

    Look behind the boards

We check the state of the rafter feet and the existing ventilation before quoting, because that is what decides whether this is a straight swap or a repair job.

  2. 02

    Quote the whole roofline

Itemised across fascia, soffit, bargeboard and gutter so you can see exactly what is included, and decide knowingly if you want to phase it.

  3. 03

    Strip, repair, fit and clear

Old roofline off, timber repairs made good, new boards and gutter fitted and set to fall, and all the old material taken away with us.

Common Questions

Fascias & Soffits FAQs

Straight answers before you book. If there’s anything else, our team is a phone call away.

We can, and we will tell you plainly when it is a reasonable option: sound timber, purely cosmetic problem, tight budget. But if the rafter feet are soft, capping seals wet timber inside plastic and buys you a few years before a much bigger repair. We would rather quote the honest job than the cheap-looking one.

A typical semi-detached house is one to two days once access is in place. Larger detached properties, or jobs where we find significant rafter end repairs behind the old boards, run longer. And we will tell you as soon as we see it rather than at the end.

Yes. If the fascias are sound there is no reason to replace them, and we will happily quote for guttering alone. It is worth doing both together when the fascia is coming to the end of its life anyway, purely because the access is already there.
